I’ve finally found a font I like for the flag (the white-on-red design at the top of this page) on Blog on the Run. It’s called Haettenschweiler, and the bold italic version is just what I was looking for.
Problem is, this font isn’t standard issue on either Wintels or Macs. But you can download it for free (59K zipped file) here. It’s ostensibly for PCs only, but DivaGeek, a Mac person whose day gig gives her some expertise in this area, tried it on her Mac and says it worked fine.
So download and install Haettenschweiler on your machine, and see the Blog on the Run flag as it was meant to be seen.
