Blog on the Run: Reloaded

Short and sweet. I mean sucky.

Google is killing Google Reader, its RSS blog aggregator upon which I have relied for years. I am revising my Google stock-price projections for class accordingly. In the meantime, here’s the inevitable Hitler clip; as always, subtitles are NSFW.

Bloglines has been down for hours, and if there’s a way to make Google Reader display the full text of RSS feeds that include full entries, I haven’t found it yet.

Anyone who wants to steal a tiny bit of market share for a reliable, intuitive Web-based RSS reader, get in touch: you will never have a better chance than right now.

UPDATE: Bloglines now says it’s down for scheduled maintenance. Bull. Who schedules maintenance for 6+ hoursĀ  in the middle of a weekday, Eastern time? Bad enough your service sucks; don’t insult my intelligence by lying to me about it.

UPDATE: Having also experienced some Gmail weirdness, I’m now exploring the hypothesis that this is either a purely local problem or a not-just-Google-Reader problem.
