Hooperisms, cont.

Filed under: Hooper — Lex @ 10:55 pm

Earlier today, Granny told him to be careful. He responded — I am not making this up — “Fear not! For I — ” (dramatic pause) ” — am The Mighty Hooper!”

* * *

Defiance: “Oh, yeah? Well, I’m just gonna sit on the sofa and read a whole box of books!” (Noooooo!)

One of his favorite candies is “Enanems,” or, if spelt phonetically, N&Ms. I keep telling him that he’s saying “N” when he should be saying “M,” and he says, “Yes, Daddy, but it’s hard for me to rewember.”

He’ll stop saying things like these any day now, and oh, how I will miss them when he does.

  1. I love that — “The Mighty Hooper!” He may not stop them all that soon…

    It reminds me of something my 8- and 9-year old nephews said to me about their 13-year-old brother. The 8-year-old told me, “We call him the King of Pain.” The 9-year-old quickly added, “Yes, but WE are the Lords of Annoyance!”
