hate America?

Regardless of law, marriage has only one definition, and any government that attempts to change it is my mortal enemy. I will act to destroy that government and bring it down, so it can be replaced with a government that will respect and support marriage, and help me raise my children in a society where they will expect to marry in their turn.

Remember, it’s OK to advocate overthrowing the government as long as you’re a right-wing loon.

  1. The left-wing loons got to spend the last 8 years advocating overthrow. And unless Obummer starts pulling more strings to get the left-wing agenda ball rolling, the lefties will start getting violent. Wait, they already are violent. Look what they did at UNC recently. If righties had done that, what would you be saying about them?

  2. I’ll take the last question first. I said nothing about the lefty disrupters at UNC because by the time I heard about it everyone else in the world had already blogged about it. Had it been righty disrupters under the same circumstances, I’d probably have responded in exactly the same way. For the record, I think anyone who tries to disrupt a public speech at a public university is an idiot. Don’t like the speaker? Ambush ’em in the Q&A; that’s what it’s for.

Please point me to one single example of anyone in a responsible position on the left advocating the violent overthrow of the Bush administration (as opposed to advocating, say, impeachment, which, while debatable on the merits, is clearly legal and constitutional).

  3. I hope you’re not implying that OSC is in a responsible position on the right, left, center or anywhere. He’s a hack with one reasonably well-executed idea in his entire career. And Bubby, you’ll find that a hell of a lot of left-wing loons, myself included, wrote and spoke out about how stupidly the protest at UNC was done.

  4. Anyone who has the kind of audience/platform Card has is in a “responsible” position, from where I sit, and therefore has an obligation to, at minimum, refrain from advocating violent overthrow of the government.
