Cool

Using temperature data including that relied upon by skeptics of global warming, statisticians consulted by the AP confirmed that, “Superfreakonomics” notwithstanding, the globe is not cooling. 1. Fresh Warnings on Climate Overstatement

“It was always pretty clear to scientists closest to the ice that short-term variability remains poorly understood and poorly predicted, even as the long-term view that there will be open summer waters in the Arctic Ocean later in the century remains robust. But as always, that takes the issue back into the realm of “ somewhere, someday” instead of here and now.

Can campaigners and world leaders find a way to build public support for a low-emission energy future based on such realities? If you see a way, how would you state the case?”
