Tell me again how rare racism is among conservative white Southerners

Cause it’s not like the Deep South is totally bereft of schools and news media:

ALABAMA

Q22 Do you think Barack Obama is a Christian or a
Muslim, or are you not sure?
Christian 14%
………………………………………………….
Muslim 45%
……………………………………………………
Not sure 41%

MISSISSIPPI

Q22 Do you think Barack Obama is a Christian or a
Muslim, or are you not sure?
Christian 12%
………………………………………………….
Muslim 52%
……………………………………………………
Not sure 36%

I wish being stupid were painful.

Bonus fun: 60% of those surveyed in Alabama and 66% in Mississippi do not believe in evolution. Someone want to explain to me again why these states still get two senators apiece?

  1. NBC and its hard left cable network don’t seem to be on the same page. The morning after MSNBC bomb-thrower Ed Schultz condemned Republican voters for thinking President Obama is Muslim, on Tuesday’s Today, NBC’s political director Chuck Todd discounted the Public Policy Polling survey: “I think this question was designed to get a higher percentage in the answer than maybe what’s actually true.”

Todd explained the problem with the automated poll: “…the way the question was asked, I think it just was designed to get a higher number. Because there are some Republicans who…may not believe he’s a Muslim, but like saying it because it’s a way to attack him. It’s sort of a way to needle him….it’s certainly created a buzz among liberals who are trying to create a stereotype among base conservative voters.”

    Shoe fit ?

  2. Problem 1: Todd’s hypothesis doesn’t explain why would the figures be so much higher in AL and MS than even in other Southern states such as GA and FL. Problem 2: Why would poll respondents answer so snarkily in THIS poll and not all the others? It’s always possible that any one poll is an outlier, even an extreme outlier. That’s why we talk about polls in terms of margin of error and confidence level. But we have no solid evidence that this is the case in this poll, and PPP’s overall record has been pretty good.

  3. One newscaster poll…

This guy has all his teeth and probably an advanced degee but he is the classic arrogant fact ignoring batshit crazy quintessential partisan, no doubt from Kalifornia. I’ve met a few just like him. Despicable assholes for sure.
