Interesting development

Mujeeb Shah-Khan, the Greensboro city attorney, is now following me on Twitter. I’m not sure why that would be, unless it has something to do with this. But, whatever, Mujeeb. You’ll probably find my Twitter stream the same thing others do: a bewildering boullibaisse of failed humor, tweets about my kids, interesting examples of data visualization, commentary on national and state politics, bizarre odds and ends, and retweets of most of the foregoing types of tweets by other people, most of whom I don’t know in real life. If that floats your boat, then anchors aweigh.

  3. Be careful of the hapless evil sorcerer. More to come later…

  4. Look out, Fec has released the genie from the bottle, all H-E double hockey sticks is about to rain down upon us!

  5. Some of you guys need to be a little less paranoid and tend to your own glass houses.

You disagree over the Yes Weekly thing. I get that. Beyond that … seriously.

  6. Just checked — I have 6,380 followers on Twitter. Dang, that’s a lot of stalkers.

    Comment by bdure — Monday, July 29, 2013 8:11 pm @ 8:11 pm

  7. For the record, I haven’t characterized his behavior as stalking, and I’ve made that clear to those on other blogs who have. I just find it … well, interesting, like the title says.

Beyond that, what? Your knowledge ends?

You’re not the one who was threatened by the GPD Chief of Police. I was. Were it you methings you would change your opinion very quickly.

  10. PS. The Yes Weekly thing was months ago, we’re talking the last 4 days. Get up to speed, bdure.

    Comment by recyclebill — Monday, July 29, 2013 9:21 pm @ 9:21 pm

  11. Bill, I’m not talking to you until you’re more forthcoming.

Roch, I know a good bit more about this. For one thing, I know Fec made a racist blog post about a college friend of mine. I think I have a right to be a little angry about that. (And I remember you from my Greensboro days — I think you’re usually more cautious about choosing your bandwagons.)

  12. If you say so.

  13. bdure, I’ve already posted the entire story to my blog screen grabs of e-mails from the Chief of Police, Mujeeb Shah-Khan, and all. How can anyone be any more forthcoming than that? I think what you have just done is proven you really don’t know what the rest of us are talking about. Period. Perhaps you should try reading some previous blog posts starting with Lex’s blog. And here’s a hint: If you click on the hyperlinks they take you to were the blogger is pointing to. You know, being that the Internet has only been around for about 15 or so years I guess you’re not up to speed.

    Seriously, not forthcoming?

  14. I’m missing why it’s interesting (much less creepy or stalkerish). You captured his attention with your published work, now he follows your published work. That’s how it’s supposed to go. He has read local social media for a while, and that’s a good thing.

    Comment by Ed Cone — Monday, July 29, 2013 11:39 pm @ 11:39 pm

  15. Yeah, drain all context and it’s a real mystery.

Comment by Roch Smith, Jr. — Monday, July 29, 2013 11:48 pm @ 11:48 pm

  16. I donno Ed, he follows me on Twitter too and he sent the Chief of Police to threaten me, violated my constitutional rights and has stired up a hornet’s nest locally with cries to have him fired all over town. The man could be getting desperate. If I were Lex I’d watch out.

And Mujeeb’s law degree is not from Duke.

  17. Ed: I guess that since I left the N&R I’ve gotten used to not getting many comments from local folks. This has been a bit of an explosion in comparison. So it’s interesting to me, but without any sinister connotations.

Billy: Mujeeb went to Duke as an undergrad.

    Comment by Lex — Tuesday, July 30, 2013 6:11 am @ 6:11 am

  18. Right, Bill. I’m unfamiliar with how the Internet works. Maybe Lex will explain who I am.

In the meantime, enjoy your Google Map threats.

    Comment by bdure — Tuesday, July 30, 2013 6:54 am @ 6:54 am

  19. bdure or beau or whatever your name is, I’ve threatened no one. As Lex pointed out, my actions did not meet the definition of a threat according to Federal case law. Keep spreading your lies, your credibility only diminishes right before everyone’s eyes.

Yes, I know Mujeeb went to Duke as an undergrad. Apparently he should have went to law school there as well as he obviously isn’t fit to practice law with his degree from Mercer as he fell to a dumb east Greensboro redneck with a fake high school diploma– me.

You accuse me of not being forthcoming and yet I’ve disclosed everything. It is Mujeeb who is still hiding, still failing to answer questions and when he does answer– he lies and gets caught at those lies. Repeatedly.

Maybe he was a great guy when you were in college but today… Since coming to Greensboro, Mujeeb has compiled a list of lies and failures to do his job. And in the coming weeks and days it will all be made public by myself and others.

Mujeeb won’t be the first this group of bloggers has run out of Greensboro.
